Once again, no specifics were given — on with the overly detailed fluff!

☾ : Sleep headcanon
Ciel would never admit it, but he’s grown addicted to sleeping in the same bed as Elizabeth. He constantly has to put up a front as the Queen’s Watchdog—harsh, uncompromising, untouchable. But Lizzy doesn’t see any of that, and never has done, so when she crawls into bed next to him and tucks her head under his chin (because she is always the little spoon), it’s often the only time he can ever relax enough to fall asleep without nightmares. She takes his nightmares away.

Lizzy doesn’t realize this, of course. All she knows is that her husband is clingy in his sleep, and since she’s a cuddly person anyway, she honestly doesn’t mind in the slightest.

☠ : Drinking/drunk headcanon
They both rarely drink, but neither can really hold their alcohol, so the one time they were both drunk, it didn’t end well. I’ve been signed to secrecy about the rest of the events of that night, but let me just tell you it involved a lot of lace.

☼ : Childhood headcanon
Lizzy has always been physically affectionate, and as the older child, she often took the lead in their games—which included pirate ships and chivalrous knights—until she learned she and Ciel were going to marry when they grew older. After that she gradually became more withdrawn and ‘cute’. Ciel appreciated the chance that gave him to choose their games, but sometimes (before his parents died) he wished she would take the lead again. After all, she always came up with the best stories.

⋆ : Sex headcanon
It varies. Sex is the one thing that neither of them are entirely comfortable with, especially at first; Lizzy has always been taught that sex is a disgraceful thing for a young lady, and Ciel was never really taught at all. They’re awkward and anxious and not wanting to talk about it until one night, during work, Lizzy has to pretend to be a whore.

She doesn’t sleep with anyone. She won’t. That’s not the point of the assignment. But still, when they return to the Phantomhive Manor, Lizzy turns to Ciel and kisses him, and after that, everything changes.

At first they’re both very hesitant. Then as they improve, it becomes less secret, more passionate. He loves touching her, seeing her reactions; Lizzy loves kissing him, because it reminds her that for now, he is here, he is with her, and nothing can take him away.

She also refuses to let him wear the eyepatch in bed, because she wants to be with every part of him, including the parts she hates. And even though he never tells her so, the fact that she does makes him love her more.

☮ : Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon
Both of them are usually tidy, but when they’re working a case, they no longer give a collective damn, so the house becomes atrocious. Usually the servants know better than to touch anything during this time, mainly because the one time Finny tried, Lizzy nearly threw a knife at his head. They’re warier now.

☄ : Any AU headcanon (modern, school, medieval, and so on)
HOGWARTS AU!

Ciel is the Ravenclaw: clinical, thoughtful, contained. Lizzy is the Hufflepuff: cheerful, hardworking, and charming. But both of them have secrets, and when the school is attacked, the cousins have to work together in order to stop it—and possibly discover something else along the way.

Corny, but I’m writing a oneshot about it so there you go.

♤ : Cooking headcanon
Lizzy has always wanted to learn how to cook, but no matter how hard she tries, she just…can’t quite manage it? It’s not that she’s bad at it; she just isn’t particularly good at it, either, and it upsets her.

Ciel does not care enough to even try. Ergo, Sebastian makes their food. All. The. Time.

☻ : Mood headcanon
This is Kuro, guys. Every relationship is gonna be damn depressing. But even in the worst times, Lizzy and Ciel get happy moments. Lizzy’s too determinedly cheerful for them to not have them. They breathe, and move on, and work from day to day because they know that there’s an axe hanging over their heads, but Lizzy is determined not to let that color their relationship, and, eventually, neither is Ciel.

I’ve seen people trying to say JJ did a good thing by taking color out of the equation, and that they are tired of POC being cast as the villains.

Do people not realize the history that was made when Khan appeared on network television? Let’s look at what was going on around the time Khan made his debut on network TV.

August 28, 1963: 20,000 blacks and whites gather at the Lincoln Memorial to hear speeches against racism; among them is Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream.”

June 12, 1963: Civil Rights activist Medgar Evers is gunned down outside of his home. His killer is not convicted until the year 1994.

Summer 1964: The Mississippi Summer Freedom Project begins; civil rights workers help blacks register to vote. 3 are killed and many black churches and homes are burned in retaliation.

August 4, 1964: Civil rights workers James E. Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman were murdered by the Ku Klux Klan.

March 7, 1965: Martin Luther King Jr. leads a 54-mile march to support black voter registration. They marched from Selma to Montgomery.

June 12, 1967:Banning interracial marriage is ruled unconstitutional by Supreme Court.

July 1967: More race riots occur in Detroit and New York; they are the worst riots in US history and result in 43 Detroit deaths.

April 4, 1968: While outside his home, Martin Luther King Jr. is murdered by James Earl Ray; riots broke out in 125 cities in response.

“Space Seed” premiered on television in February of 1967, right smack dab in the middle of all this. Before Khan, Star Trek included a black woman, and Asian man, and a Russian character as main parts of the crew on the Enterprise. All three had vitals roles on the ship, and Captain Kirk looked to them for answers, and trusted them to help him complete his mission.

Do you not realize how huge this was? This was something people had never seen before, and to date, still don’t see it all that often. This broke the ground for so many of the actors and actresses we all know and love. This was history being made.

Then came Khan. While Ricardo Montalban was not a man of Indian descent, he was still a man of color. He was a man of color, playing a character that rivaled Captain Kirk. He was a character that commanded respect and admiration from those around him, because he was smart, cunning, charismatic, and powerful.

Khan Noonien Singh was a man that could out think and out muscle any person on the Enterprise. To state it more simply, a man of color was more powerful and more intelligent than all the other men and women aboard the Enterprise. Without Marla McGivers help, Kirk would not have been able to stop him.

A man of color would have defeated the crew of the Enterprise were it not for a guilty conscience and the use of a club. Khan’s strength could have easily overpowered Kirk’s, and it would have, had he not hit him over the head with a heavy tool.

This is what makes Khan more than the stereotypical POC villain. Khan is super human. He is created to be stronger, faster, smarter and better than a normal human being. He rises above the stereotype because he is BETTER than all aboard the Enterprise.

On top of that, a white woman falls in love with a man of color. In 1967. She gives up everything she’s known to be with him. The fact that Khan was a POC, and he was far more powerful and far more capable than all the others makes him stand apart from your stereotypical role POC are given when they play the part of the villain.Khan is an icon of television for being a groundbreaking character in the middle of our Civil Rights movement, just like Uhura and Sulu are.

Would you be okay if someone changed the race of Uhura or Sulu? I can’t see how you could be. There would be outrage from here to the moon if anyone tried to cast either of them as anything other than an Asian man, and an African American woman.

Yet with Khan, because he’s the villain, people think it’s okay to erase what he was because of what we’ve gone through over the past decade or so. Don’t you see? It’s because of that that Khan should have been cast as a man of Indian descent, as his biography clearly states he is. I know Ricardo was not Indian, as I’ve stated before, but back then getting POC on TV in roles that were main parts of the story wasn’t as easy as it is now. That’s why this is even more inexcusable. There is nothing to stop Paramount or JJ Abrams from casting any person from any ethnicity on the planet, and they chose to take one of the most iconic roles that belonged to POC, and give it to a white man.

It’s like taking the history of Star Trek, taking all the things it did to pave the way for so many people by refusing to stick to what was accepted, and throwing it in the mud. Everything about Star Trek was promoting acceptance of those different than ourselves, whether those people were green skinned aliens, or African American, or Asian.

Look at all the POC on TV or in movies today. Who do you think started the path to stardom for them? Who do you think started chipping away at those barriers that would have prevented them from becoming big name stars in the media?

Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Gene Roddenberry, Nichelle Nichols, George Takei, and Ricardo Montalban.

Now, after reading all of this, if you can look me in the eye and still tell me you see nothing wrong with the fact that a white man is playing the role of Khan, well then, I guess that’s the opinion you’re going to stay with.But my hope is that maybe, just maybe, you can see why there are people out there who are so upset, and why the silent acceptance of this casting choice needs to be stopped.

☾ : Sleep headcanon
She sleeps on the right side of the bed, he sleeps on the left.

Ling likes cuddling. Lan Fan is not that touchy. But somehow at the same time she always wakes up in the morning and her head is under his chin and they’re basically face to face even though she started out on the opposite side of the bed.

(He swears she does it of her own accord and she always blushes and goes to train rather than respond because she really doesn’t want to believe it even though she knows it’s probably true. Ling is the only person she’d ever just want to curl into and be with without ever feeling uncomfortable, physically.)

It took a long time for Lan Fan to be comfortable with any physical aspect of their relationship, to be honest. She’s very tied up with tradition, whereas Ling is the sort of guy who comes up behind her and kisses the side of her neck just because he likes to see her blush.

(Also Ling secretly totally enjoys being the little spoon but that is one thing he will never, ever admit to anyone other than Lan Fan. Shhh. Keep it a secret, won’t’cha?)

☠ : Drinking/drunk headcanon

Lan Fan is hilarious when drunk. She gets noisy and raucous and breaks things and basically has the best time, even though she can never remember it in the morning and gets horrible, horrible hangovers.

In contrast, just like with food, Ling can definitely put it away without any adverse effects. He just keeps grinning and pouring you more drinks and then you don’t remember what happens afterwards but you wake up in someone else’s bed with a goldfish in your shoe and he’s just bopping away, grinning at you, because the bastard doesn’t even get a hangover.

It drives Lan Fan crazy.

☼ : Childhood headcanon

Ling liked to tease Lan Fan when they were kids. He would purposefully try to sneak away from her (because she, in her six-year-old ferocity, had already declared herself his bodyguard at that point; she was more vocal about her thoughts as a child) and send her into a panic simply because in the back of his mind he wondered if she really cared enough about him to worry about him.

At one point he managed to sneak up onto the roof and watched Lan Fan go through the whole garden searching for him, and eventually she ended up so frustrated and scared that she’d lost the young master that she sat down and cried. He jumped down to try and help her and managed to break his ankle. So Ling’s mother and Fuu, her bodyguard at the time, came out of the common room once to find Ling standing on one foot, his arms wrapped around Lan Fan, apologizing his little heart out because the only other child he liked in the whole of the palace was crying because of him, and Lan Fan just openly wailing and clutching him and begging him not to hide ever again.

(Ling’s mother was not happy about the broken ankle but there wasn’t much that could be done at that point so she had to stuff it. Besides, even when she tried to punish Lan Fan, Ling ended up so mad that she had to let go of it.)

(Yes they were best bros as kids and it never changed so there.)

⋆ : Sex headcanon

But seriously.

Ling has no concept of personal space. This is clarified at the very first stages of their relationship. He just likes touching people, and Lan Fan, who has never been comfortable with touch all that much in the first place (she was raised in a fairly non-physically-affectionate environment), is not really comfortable with this, and sometimes she reacts badly to it, especially when she isn’t expecting it.

(An incident with a knife to Ling’s throat comes to mind. He snuck up on her in the middle of the night. Idiot.)

It takes a long time for them to approach anything that could be called a sex life, even with Ling’s touchiness. But once they finally get there, hoo boy.

Ling likes touching people. Ergo, he likes taking his time. He goes very slowly, and makes sure to lavish as much attention as she can stand on every part of her, be it flesh or metal or scar. He thinks she’s perfect, even with all her flaws, and he wants to let her know that. He loves kissing, too. As in, he’s basically a kissing addict. (Another reason why sometimes Lan Fan has to nearly knife him when they’re working because not here Ling.)

Lan Fan was originally very hesitant—like I’ve said, she doesn’t feel comfortable being very touchy—but gradually, she gets more and more comfortable with both the idea of and initiating sex, and she often ends up fairly dynamic. Sometimes their sparring sessions end up a little more interesting than they originally planned, and she’s never more aggressive in sex than she is after a battle. Lan Fan uses those moments to reaffirm that the man she’s loved since she was six years old is still there with her, still alive, still responding to her touch, and she gets very fierce.

☮ : Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Lan Fan has been trained for years that leaving any kind of mess around a room could leave an opportunity for an enemy to set a trap, so she’s obsessive about keeping things clean. Ling, on the other hand, is a bit of a slob—not in a horrific way, but he’ll leave papers scattered on the floor if he’s working sometimes, or forget to put books on their shelves again. Lan Fan will organize. Ling will not be able to find things. Basically kind of normal.

That’s…really all I can think of.

☄ : Any AU headcanon (modern, school, medieval, and so on)

Basically if we’re going to do an AU with me, it’s gonna be historical fantasy. And right now, I’m really into the Bunshin War. SO.

The world is falling apart. Ling has been raised to be one of the warrior class, a lordling, but it’s not where his heart lies. As the country descends into a civil war, with one side fighting to preserve the status quo and the other forging forward into the future, he plunges into a underworld of revolution, attempting to keep the people he loves safe while also trying to transform the country he loves.

Lan Fan, on the other hand, is a traditionalist. Also raised a warrior, she is dedicated to the old ways, and is completely against the revolutionary movement. Against her grandfather’s wishes, she joins the war as a member of the elite women’s squadron of the Grand Marshal’s forces.

During a battle, though, she is captured by the rebellion, and imprisoned within the enemy camps. They assign Ling to keep an eye on her.

…That was kind of spur of the moment but I kind of like it so yeah.

♤ : Cooking headcanon

(Assuming an AU for this one because I can’t see Ling, as Emperor, or Lan Fan, as Empress, cooking anything. So yeah.)

Lan Fan cannot cook. Well, she can, but it’s basically work stuff, the sort of thing that you can make on the road. It’s good, especially when you’re on the run, but at the same time there’s not a lot of variety. Plus, she just doesn’t like it—it takes too much time with not enough results, especially considering sometimes she forgets she has something on the stove and burns it to a crisp.

Ling likes cooking, but he’s also lazy, so occasionally he will also burn things by falling asleep on the couch while something is cooking. However, when he finally gets around to paying attention, he’s actually really good. He calls himself Lan Fan’s wife, which makes her blush and smack him, but whatever.

☻ : Mood headcanon

Mood? Hm…as in, mood of the relationship? Surprisingly quiet. While she isn’t tsundere—Lan Fan is very direct and focused when the situation calls for it—she also isn’t very good at expressing her emotions. Ling likes to tease her, and eventually she gets used to it, but she does still get embarrassed by it sometimes. The first six months of the relationship were especially blush-filled.

In regards to other moods, fights are rare with them. Ling loves to talk, so usually anything that might go sour gets out into the air before it can go sour. But when they finally do fight, it usually ends up with Ling getting stiff and furious and Lan Fan leaving for a while. She jogs or practices knifing someone in the back for a while, and then she comes back and they forgive each other.

Reasons Why I Hate Life Right Now (or RWIHLRN)

I have anxiety problems. Let’s just get that out right off the bat. I have had anxiety problems for years, though they were not always as obvious and forceful as they are now. After my parents divorced, I started pulling out my hair and picking at my skin as ways to control the world around me, and most of all to control myself. As such, recently (as in within the past year) I have begun to take a mild prescription anti-depressant. It doesn’t do much to stop the habits, but I do feel less anxious when I’m on it.

However, I ran out of it about five days ago, and holy crap are the withdrawal effects shitty.

It’s not really withdrawal, precisely—the doses are so mild it can’t really be a true withdrawal—but at the same time, my body is getting used to no longer having that steadying effect that comes along with the prescription.

It feels like there’s lightning in my skin. Not physical pain—it doesn’t hurt—but my muscles are twitching. I can’t predict when they’ll do it, or what part of my body will be affected, but it’s obnoxious. I feel dizzy, and nauseous, and sick most of the time. It sucks. It should only last for a few more days, but the thought of that is horrifying. But I can’t get a new prescription of it in Japan—not by mail at least— and that means I have to deal with it.

So yeah. I hate life right now.
