Introducing: The Fault In Our Stars

This is my new horse! I purchased her recently, and she was unregistered. Because of her coloration, I was able to register her in the Pinto Horse Association Registration, even though I have no documentation of her birth. This was an incredibly exciting thing for me to do because I didn’t think I would get to register a horse myself until I am someday raising foals. This also means that I got to pick her registered name. The name seemed so obvious to me: The Fault In Our Stars. I am so excited that I got to name her after a book that has meant so much to me. I got word today that the registration came through and that she is now the only registered horse with the name The Fault In Our Stars!

Horses have always meant a lot to me, but no more so than now. I am currently dealing with an eating disorder and an anxiety disorder, and my horse is helping me deal with the unfortunate and negative thoughts I have in my mind. She is a wonderful horse, and I am so excited to continue spending more time with her, riding and grooming and bonding. I feel incredibly lucky to have her, and also lucky that I am on the road to recovery and a better life.

Oh, you may be wondering what I am going to call her: Hazel, of course! :)
