About Me
Why, you were curious enough to click here? I feel so flattered.

Anyway, I’m Alix.
You may call me Alix, Hope, or Shu, which is fast becoming my new nickname.
Basically I’m a crazy fangirl who spends far more time on the internet than she should.
I write fanfiction under the name Shu of the Wind.
(And that’s Shu as in the Egyptian god of the air, not Shue as in a misspelling of Mr. Schue or shoe like the kind you put on your foot.)
You can find all that here if you’re interested. I generally write Harry Potter, Merlin, and Kuroshistuji, though I have fics inother fandoms, including OHSHC, Naruto, Glee, CSI: NY, Soul Eater, Lewis, and The Infernal Devices.
I also write original fiction, and I am currently working on a new draft of a sci-fi/fantasy novel tentatively entitled Kindling.
My username on Pottermore is CentaurQuill4213. Add me if you like.
I am a Hufflepuff Companion from District Eleven on the Viking-run island of Berk. I was later borrowed from my time and world by Merlin’s magic in order to defeat the enemies of Camelot with my raven daemon, my Pokemon team, and my secret talent of earthbending, which I was schooled to control by Petra while attending Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. After that I retired to the Wizarding Academy of Earthsea, and spend most of my time writing books along with one of my closest friends and lifelong companion, Bilbo Baggins.
In other news, I’m studying to become a linguist at university, so I don’t have a lot of time.
I’m American but I swear I’m British, even if I hate tea and don’t have an accent.
I have trichotillomania, which is a psychological disorder leading to the subconscious urge to pull out one’s own hair because of emotional anxiety and stress. It’s frustrating and I’m trying to stop, but I’m a very high-stress person and it’s proving a difficult habit to break.
It is my dream to be a published author, and once that happens, I’m going to scarper to Ireland to live my life among the standing stones.
I also have a long-standing obsession with certain fictional men, which will become apparent if you hang around long enough. For more information, click here.
You are all welcome to join me in my insanity. It’s a very happy place.
